Answers, and such

For those of you who read the last post and wondered, yes, I did look it up. While I could not find a definitive answer on the term PEE, I did get some interesting facts I won't share, and one I will. It seems that in the middle ages the word Piss was a common word for urinating. It was used by all classes, but as time went by the Upper Classes stopped using it and considered it a crude word only used by those who were lower class beings.

So from a common term to a "swear" word. I have decided in my opionion that perhapse Pee comes from Piss. Probably some young upperclass child was admonished for using the word Piss and in chagrin, began referring to it as: "the P word" and hence the term Pee.

Now as for Poo. There were several refference to Poo on Wikipedia, but the only one that linked to meaning I was looking for was poop. When clicked on, this took me to a few more usages for the word, including poop deck, which I will admit I had no idea what it reffered to on a boat. (No I'm not telling you here. As my daddy used to say: look it up yourself. lol)

It was slightly facinating, and if I look at the dictionary, they say it might be from 1735 and was probably from the word powpen, or popen which is to blow a horn or break wind.
Poo is most likley, from somone being lazy and dropping the P. I hope they were descreate. haha.

Now that you've had a short lesson, I encourage you to look it up. While it may seem gross to some, it's kind of facinating when you read about it, and learn the strange unknown answers to the questions you have always had concerning poo, but would NEVER ask out loud.
