Tired of being lazy but too lazy to care

I have been so tired lately. I mean really really tired. I think my happy pills are having a small side effect. I have been sleeping almost non stop, and when I'm awake, I'm yawning and trying to stay awake.

Even as I sit here, 5 in the evening and I can barely see the screen through my watery eyes and open yawing mouth. I have so much to get done. It's only two months until my Bro-in-law and his son come to visit and I'd really like to get my house clean.

It's been 4 years since we moved in, and I still have boxes that haven't been unpacked. I'm pretty sure I have at least 2 more sets of plates and bowls somewhere. lol

But I am so tired. I was concerned I was going lazy again, but I'm pretty sure it's the pills now. I have 3 weeks until my next surgery and I would like to have something cleaned. Even if it's just my kitchen. My doctors appointment is tomorrow. I'm going to have to tell him what's happening. He'll either switch my pills to nights, or....... give me something new. YAY.

Dan will be home soon. I think I will go lay down until he gets here. I made dinner last night, so it's his turn tonight. :D

computer failure made me late. That's my story....

And I'm sticking to it. lol

I have to be to work at 6:00 am. It's early, but I get off work early too, and that's what keeps me going. Yesterday I got up at 5 and got ready for work. I was excited because I had hooked up my new MP3 player I got for Christmas and was ready to download my books I bought on MP3. I was going to listen to them at work. YAY. The night before I hooked it up to the computer, but the instructions said to let it charge for 3 hours before using. So I had to go to bed before it was done. I was a little dismayed with Dan because I was hoping he would stay up and put my books on it for me, but he was tired and went to bed at the same time I did.

When I got up Friday morning I ran downstairs and was checking out my player. I had copied the book to the computer and I mistakenly assumed it would be a piece of cake to add the book to the player. 15 minutes later and several copies of the book on my desktop, I was really frustrated.

The file Dan created for my book said that it was empty when I tried to get it on the player. So I thought, ok, I will just copy and paste it again. But instead of it pasting into the MP3 player, it kept pasting all 39 files to my desktop. Over and Over. I finally figured out how to delete the copies, but by then it was 6:00 am and I was late.

I ran out the door minus the player, and hopped in the car. I texted Brandy to tell her I was on my way, and zoomed out of the driveway. I was starving and decided that since I'm going to try to bring breakfast next week, I would let myself get McDonalds. But instead of stopping at the one near my house, I decided I would go to the one near work.

I pulled in to the drive thur at 6:20. I was making good time. There was a car in front of me, since I don't ever do the second drive thru lane, so I had to wait. I wasn't paying much attention as I was turning down the heater and the radio so they can hear me. I notice the car pull away, but I didn't pay attention to where it went.

I pulled up to the speaker and waited for those magical words: "Hi what can I make for you today?" And waited and waited and waited. Finally after about a minute, I said: "Hello?" and got no answer. I repeated myself a few more times, and then turned on the radio hoping for some dumb reason that the noise would be noticed. Another car pulled up behind me. I guess they don't do the second drive thru line either.

I waited for about 5 minutes before I gave up and pulled out of the parking lot. I was so frustrated and angry. Not to mention I'm still really hungry. I don't know if the first car got the same problem that I did, but now I have to wonder.

I got to work and found the body snatchers had stolen Brandy and replaced her with some Cheerful look a like. She was so damn chipper. I related my tail, and realized how freaking funny it was and had a good rest of the day, but geez. I'm glad that Dan got my player up and running when I got home, and I'm starting a new breakfast regimen on Monday. No more silent drive thru for me.

Bubbles in the pool

Yesterday was Water Aerobics day. Stefanie and I go every Tuesday and Thursday. It's fun, low impact, and easy to do. However you do get a good workout without even noticing. Yesterday for lunch Brandy and I went to Souper Salad!. I love it there. Salad is so yummy and good for you. But it can also give you gas.

Yep, I had a major case of gas. lol When we got to the pool, I had on my swimsuit. It's just like any regular suit except that it has shorts attached. They are made out of the same material as mens trunks. Whenever I get into the pool air gets trapped in them and I float. It gives me quite the wedgie, and Stefanie laughs because I have to lift them up to get the air out. It makes glugging noises and bubbles. But when I got in this time, not all the bubbles were air trapped in my suit.

I tried to hold them in, really I did. But it just wasn't happening. When I did fart, little bubbles shot up my suit, and I would giggle. This sounds strange, but they tickled. Fortunatly it just looked like my shorts still had trapped air, and they didn't smell.

We finally got to the cool down period of the class, and all was quiet, when I couldn't hold one in any longer and with my backside up in the air because I was floating on my tummy, I let it go. It made a pop noise and I felt a bubble, and I looked up and there were two people at the side of the pool looking out. I don't know if they heard me or noticed the bubbles, but I almost choked on the water when I started to laugh.

I couldn't wait to get out of the pool and get away. It was embarassing but funny. lol

Rough Mornings and coffee

So I was late today. I mean really late. I mean as in I hit the snooze button from 4:45 am to 6:03 am. I just could not get out of bed. I don't understand it lately, because I've been going to bed at a pretty decent hour. I got up, showered and got ready to go. Sent a text to my co-workers to let them know I was running late and would be in about 7. I went downstairs to the Dragon's Den and got in Facebook for a few minutes and then went back upstairs to get my stuff and leave.

It's raining outside and windy, but I left my hoodie downstairs. I decide I'll just grab a sweatshirt to go over my work clothes, because I don't want to go downstairs again. I check my purse for all the things I need, and notice I don't have my car keys. hum..... I remember Dan asking for them the night before to get stuff out of my car. So I go back downstairs anyway to look around for my keys. Nope, no keys on the desks or the table. I go back upstairs to look in my bedroom. I check out Dan's pants, nope not in the pocket. Not on his dresser, my dresser, or my nightstand. I check the kitchen and the key rack on the wall. Now I'm frustrated. I have just spent 15 minutes looking for my keys.

I wake Dan up and ask him: "where are my keys?" He sleepily replies: " I put them in the pocket of your hoodie." I reply under my breath: "Of course you did. Why would have put them back into my purse where you found them?" I stomp out of the room and grab all my stuff, run down the stairs and check out my hoodie. Grab the keys and go out the garage door.

I sent a new text saying I lied and I would be in about 7:30. I asked my co-workers do you want coffee? By the time I picked up coffee and got to work it was 7:45. GRRRR

Rainy days

The clouds over the mountains look so cool. All dark grey and ominous. It's so awesome to be on the 4th floor and have the perfect view. To watch them move and see the lightening as it streaks through the sky. It almost made me sad to be at work when I really would have loved nothing more than to be home with Dan eating pizza and watching movies. It was snuggle down weather.

The sun continued to play peekaboo all day. It was so fun. Driving home in it, not so much. But the rainy weather also kept the soccer players away, so I doubly love it. Now if it just would have been cold enough to freeze the cherry blossoms I would have it made. lol

Going to Andy and Stef's tonight for dinner. We kind of invited ourselves but hey, they could have said no, right?

Popcorn popping on the Cherry tree and no parking

For some strange reason I did not look out my front windows yesterday. I was really in my funk, and stayed in the Dragon's Den all afternoon to evening. So I was unhappy this morning at 5:30 AM when I opened my front door to a snowball surprise. The cherry tree is blossoming. Yep. There will be cherries aplenty at the Boe's this summer. How wonderful you say. Yum Cherrys. Please, please feel free to come and pick them. They are wonderful tasting, but messy as all get out on my yard. I know I complained about cold weather, but I'm hoping for a single frost. Just a simple one to kill some of the blossoms. However, the tree does look very pretty. really.

On to another note, here is my blog to complainning. To those of you who have children who play sports. I understand your need to support your child. I completely incourage it. But please stop parking in front of my house!!!

The park across the street has been there for 4 years. In the 4 years people have picnicked, walked, biked, played, and enjoyed. It's a simple park. There is a small playground and well the only place to park is on the street.

This year the park is overrun with parents watching their kids play soccer. The cul-de-sac is completely covered in strangers cars. I can barely drive down the street. This happened Saturday, Monday & now Tuesday. The park is not built for organized sports. There is no place for anyone to sit, and did I mention, NO PARKING?

Dan found out from one of the neighbors that when the city voted to put in the park, the residence were promised that there would be no organized sports. Then Dan talked to some of the spectators and found out that they were kicked out of the place they usually play. So what?!?! I was willing to not care about Saturday, but honestly, they are going to play every day? We're thinking of putting up a sign in front to ask people not to park there, but I'm not sure if that's totally legal. I'm going to get on the city website and find out what we can do. Who we can complain to. The grass in the park is not made for this kind of abuse and it will surely turn ugly if the sports are played 6 days a week.

Now that I've completely ranted, I'm going off to bed. Water Aerobics was good tonight, but I am so tired......

what in the world?

So I was awake since about 3 am because my tummy was upset. I tossed and turned and convinced myself that it would go away if I could just sleep. Finally about 4 I got up and went downstairs because my house was so freaking hot and I just knew it would be colder down there. My tummy finally rebelled and I immediatly felt better. I was glad I made it downstairs because I'm not a quiet person when I'm sick and I didn't want to wake Dan up.

I finally went to sleep about 7 , which is just in time for Dan's alarm to ring. Sent him off to work and went back to sleep. Woke up about 30 minutes ago. Wow, I must have really needed the sleep. It's once again freaking hot in my house. 75 degrees. So I grabbed a big cup of cold water and made my way to the Dragons Den.

I feel better but my sides are sore. Hopefully water aerobics will help with that. Meanwhile I think I will rest and try to remember the wacked out dream I was having when I woke up.

Such a nice day

Wow today was such a nice day. I got to sleep in until 9:30 which is pretty late for me. Dan fell asleep downstairs so I even slept really good. His snoring tends to wake me up at night.

The sun was shining and the neighbor was already outside making noise. I don't know exactly what he does, as I am not that nosey of a person, but whatever he is doing it involves a hammer and a saw. I can't begrudge him his working time, but really? That much noise that early on a Sunday morning? Oh well. It could have been worse. It could have been hammer, saw, dog bark and Dan's snoring.

I feel like I should be sitting outside enjoying the sun, but instead I'm in the Dragon's Den doing laundry and typing up my first blog. Hopefully soon I can get Dan to get a wireless router going, and then maybe I can sit on the deck and type my blog. lol

I haven't blogged in some time, so I'm kind of excited to start this blog off. Between my husband, my 5 cats and my family and friends, I should have a lot of stories to tell.

Ahhh, there is the dryer buzzer now. *sigh* I love clean clothes, but why does it have to take so long to fold them. Let's just hope they get put away this time.....
