They did what? Where? UUUUUGGGGGHHHH!

The word around my house is Ewwww.  Since Blacky and Angel have come to stay, smells have suddenly gotten worse. I have yet to actually catch whomever is peeing outside the litter boxes, but when I do, someone is going to be in trouble.

We have a very nice if unfinished laundry room. It's where the litter boxes live. I have wanted to remodel it for some time, but never had the time, energy or patience. But.... this may all change.
Sunday Dan and I were going to do our laundry. We have noticed a few problems with kitties leaving a pile on the floor, but in defense, they pooped on a piece of material that got peed on a long time ago. (Please note that the door to my craft room closes on kitties. Sometimes they get trapped in there for a long time. I can not fault them for finding a place to go.)  I had taken this piece down to the laundry room to get washed and it got missed. It fell on the floor and someone pooped on it. It is now in the garbage.

Anyway, Dan and I happen to notice that some kitty has been peeing on our folding table. I have an old table covered with a table cloth, that we use to fold clothes on, and it had pee on it.  I started to wipe it down with a Clorox cloth, when Dan pulled the table cloth up from the back, it was COVERED with pee.

Ewww! It smelled so bad. We rolled it up and Dan took it out to the garbage can. Suddenly the laundry room smelled so much better. But now I have to think, WTH?  Why are they suddenly peeing there?  The litter boxes could use a cleaning, but they aren't full. There are 5 of them for crying out loud!

Then I realized that someone has been peeing on the side of one of the boxes. Seriously? Not more than an inch away from the box. AUGH!   I can't handle this.  So instead of doing laundry, Dan and I went to :Lowe's to get a push scrub broom, and Wal-Mart to buy cleaning chemicals and a Carpet Cleaner. But by the time we got home, we were both so tired that we didn't even try to clean up the room. Now it will have to wait until 1. we get our gumption up after work, or 2. this weekend. (I'm betting on the weekend).

But I am so frustrated. In all my life of having cats, I've never had these problems. I am sure it's the new cats, but then I see Angel using the litter box just fine. I have to wonder if it's Blacky.  He's such a sweet cat, but he needs to use the box and not my table, or material on the floor, or papers on the floor. Or for that matter my water shoes for aerobics, my sock box, or plastic bags.

I am so done with this. I have asked Dan to find out from Chris and Matt if they have found a home for him. If not, I will have Stefanie see if she can find him a home. I feel bad, but I think he needs to be in a one or two kitty home and not a 7 kitty place.

I also need to see if Bill and Beth want Angel. I need her to find a good home too. I know they were thinking about it, but I haven't wanted to push them. However I think my kitties will be happier if she's gone, and she will be happier if she can be paid more attention to her.
