Irritated with Cricket

I have a cricket phone. I have had a cricket phone for 7 years. I have had the same damn phone number with cricket for 7 freaking years. I have only had two actual phones with cricket in my 7 years. 5 years ago my husband and I got the same exact type of cricket phones.

At the time the Razor phones were just losing out on the state of the art poles, but I still paid a darn pretty penny for them. For the most part I have been happy with my phone. Not so happy with my phone service. I don't understand why it is that EVERYWHERE I live I get the worst service. It's like cricket watches where I move and then decides that this area will no longer get good cricket service. I can get great reception until I pull into my cul-de-sac. As soon as I pass the entry, boom. There goes my phone.

But since I don't use it all that much at home, I stick with cricket because of the price and unlimited everything.

One of the things I love about my phone is that I can take pictures and send picture messages. Since my digital camera crashed, I have relied on my camera phone. I snap a pic, send it via text to my email, and there it is a moment later. I can post it to my blog, or facebook or send it to friends.

Last fall my picture messages stopped sending. I kept getting this dumb message that my message could not be sent, and no matter how many times I tried to send them, it failed.
I spent two and a half months with this, because I wasn't sure what was happening. I finally called cricket who's customer service department is in India. The pleasent girl who answered was robotic but understood what I was saying, and boom fixed the problem in seconds.

This week my phone did the same thing. So I called cricket and spoke to a poliet young man who proceded to brush me off. Get this, he told me that there was a "picture text outage" in my area and to give it an hour and it would fix itself. I tried to explain that he just needed to reset my phone and he pretended that he understood me and then said to wait an hour for the outage to be cleared up.

I hung up and used Dan's phone to take the pictures I wanted (see my garden). Gee it's amazing how an outage will effect my phone but not my husband's phone WHICH IS THE SAME DARN PHONE!

I have to calm down before I call them again. I don't want to dis another country because it's not their fault that they are being paid to take my call, but dang it! I want to speak to someone who has some personality, who isn't reading from a script, and who will listen to me.

I probably wouldn't get it if it was an American either, but at least they would understand me.
