smells like....... wet cat.

I slept almost all day. I mean I slept until like 3 pm. I don't think I was tired so much as bored. lol. I am still a bit weak from the surgery but I think I might go back to work early. We'll have to see. I finally took a bath. I wasn't supposed to bathe for 5 days. Showers were ok, but honestly I just didn't feel up to it. However the stink of myself got to me and so after finding something to eat, and emailing Dan to beg for Apollo burger for dinner, I got into the tub.

I love a good tub. I mean there is nothing more relaxing to me than a warm soak with a good book. I had a nice cold diet caffiene free coke, a book I've never read, a bath pillow, and hot water. AAAAHHHHH

It's been raining all day, but it's been fairly warm rain. I mean I don't think it's cold enough to close the back door, so the cats have been able to go in and out. Although Argo now thinks that I should have to open the bedroom door for him. I told him only in an emergency or when the dogs come to visit, but that I am not his personal door man. He wasn't pleased, but accepted it because I just walked away.

back to my bath......

So there I was. All cozy, relaxed and happy. Reading my new book and minding my own business when suddenly my baby TigerStripe Ulysses S Boe decides to get into the tub with me. When he was a small kitten he would jump onto the side of the tub and then climb onto my chest and curl up. It was cute. Especially because he was, well, small. He's not nearly so small now. But I usually let him up, tell him to mind his claws and he lays there for a few minutes and leaves. But this time, he was all wet. Yep, I think he purposely went out in the rain, walked in the dirt, and made sure he was wet and muddy and then came to the bath. This cat isn't usally shy of water. He loves to lay in the bathroom sink and let us turn the tap on. He's gone swiming in our little kiddy pool a few times, and liked it. But I was not very happy to have cold, wet, muddy paws all over my chest.

I tried to get him to leave, but he was determined to love on me. Kept nuzzeling my face and purring in my ear. I finally sat up to see if I could get him to leave and instead he climbed up to my shoulder and dug in his claws. When I twisted to get him down, he slid down my back and into the tub water. I don't think that was what he intended to do though. He stood there for a moment with a holy crap look on his face. Then he made a 3 foot leap over the edge of the tub missing the tote I use for a table and almost hit the edge of the open door. After that he sat on the carpet outside the bathroom and washed himself. Meanwhile I now have muddy paw prints all over my skin, and dirty bath water. yuck.

So I had to drain the tub and finish my bath. When Dan got home, he laughed and laughed until I told him that after I finished my shower and I went into our room, Tiger was laying on his side of the bed. HAHAHAHA that's what he gets for laughing at me. A wet Tiger size spot on his side of the bed.
