I haz internet access!

I will of course blog more later. I have some seriously funny stuff to write about. But I am just so freaking excited! For 3 months I have had a most expensive paperweight. When I went out on my leave of absence to have my heart and leg operated on, I asked Dan to buy me a laptop. I am not supposed to go up and down stairs or lift heavy stuff for at least 5 days, and of course my computer is downstairs.

So we found a nice laptop for $330.00 and he went to buy it and a wireless router so I could have internet access upstairs in our room while I recovered. But we have vonage as our main house phone, and the router Dan got wouldn't work with the Vonage router. Since we get lousy Ciricket service here at home, we need a main phone. Grrr

So there the laptop sat. Dan was discouraged and when that happens he tends to just let whatever it is go. I've had to poke and prod him to get this back on track, and he has steadfastly refused. But I am having another procedure done this coming week, and I want to use my laptop.

So I gave Dan a stern talking to, and told him that Stefanie had offered to let us try their old wireless router. His job was to get said router and give it a try. So Thursday night Andy brought the router and they hooked it up. By the time we got back from water aerobics it was late and we just sat around to chat for a little bit.

Then Friday we decided to go to see IronMan 2 and I did not get a chance to try out the laptop until this morning. YES!!! I am writing my first blog on my laptop in my bedroom. HAHAHAHAHA

Now I can sit on the deck or anywhere in the house and be in touch with the outside world. Between this and my MP3 Player I am going to be a HAPPY GIRL!
